Dear Friends,
Thank you for supporting Seeds of Peace through yesterday’s 2012 Spring Dinner. We are grateful to Secretary Albright and Google Idea’s Jared Cohen for affirming so vividly the essential role Seeds of Peace plays in regions in conflict.
As Madeleine Albright said, our Seeds “liberate themselves from the past through the simple process of talking to one another, sharing their doubts and fears, participating side by side in everyday tasks and discovering the aspirations and values that they hold in common.”
We enter the 20th summer of our Camp with adult Seeds who are leaders, bringing their commitment to peace to the social infrastructure of law and policy, media and technology, education, social and business enterprise, and to conflict resolution itself. The Seeds who spoke last night are powerful examples of the value of your investment in Seeds of Peace.
We were proud to premiere at the Dinner a short video which captures the power of Seeds of Peace so well. Please share it on Facebook or by email—new friends would be an added gift to us:
You have joined us in amplifying the courageous voices of those who defy the status quo of conflict. As the Seeds themselves once wrote, “we refuse to accept what is, when we know what can be.” We could not have come this far without supporters like you.
With appreciation,
Leslie Adelson Lewin
Executive Director
Great job.
