Suma is a Palestinian resident of East Jerusalem. She attended the Seeds of Peace Camp in 2009 as a member of the Palestinian Delegation and returned to Maine again as a Peer Support in 2010 and then as a counselor in 2013.

She studied English literature and Business at Birzeit University and completed a diploma in Education in 2019.

Suma worked for Kids4Peace for three years before its merger with Seeds of Peace.
