Sara Jabari

Program Manager (Jerusalem)

Sara is originally from the city of Hebron and lives in Jerusalem. She holds a Bachelor degree in English Language and Literature and a Masters degree in International Studies, specialized in Diplomacy. She is working on her dissertation to obtain PhD in Conflict Resolution.

Sara has held several positions in diverse organizations such as the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Hebron Municipality, and Medecins Sans Frontieres. Most recently, she served as the Programs Director at the Palestinian Family Planning and Protection Association for five years and is the Head of MEAL at Star for Life Foundation. Sara also lectures at the Faculty of Law at Hebron University.

She believes in voluntary work and is a Board of Directors member at the Palestinian Child’s Home Club in Hebron and has been a mentor at Raising the Capacities of Municipality Councils members with the Ministry of Local Government and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit. In addition, she is the Founder and head of Jabari Family Women’s Union and was recently appointed as chair of an association which empowers children with autism.

Sara has published several research papers during her academic journey. She has worked on a joint paper on reconciliation, a paper on family disputes in Palestine, and researched the impact of multiple identities on women in Jerusalem.

Sara attended the Seeds of Peace Camp in 1997, returned as a Peer Support in 1998, and a Peer Leader in 1999. She has been a part of the Palestinian Advisory Board to Seeds of Peace for many years and has served in different roles within the organization.
