Darcie A. Bundy
Darcie Bundy has been a member of the Board of Seeds of Peace since 2007.
She is a summa cum laude graduate in economics of Smith College and the London School of Economics and did graduate work as a Marshall Scholar at Cambridge University. Returning to the United States, she earned a Master’s degree in Middle East Studies with Distinction from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University, where she was a Danforth Fellow.
Following a brief stint on Wall Street, Darcie joined Exxon (now ExxonMobil) for a 20-year career with executive assignments in government affairs, investor relations, supply and marketing. During this period she also authored two financial “self-help” books published by Harper & Row. Since leaving Exxon, Ms. Bundy has been a consultant to corporations and not-for-profits, but in recent years has focused increasingly on philanthropy with a Middle East bent. In addition to Seeds, she serves as a business and development strategist for MediSend International and is an Advisor to the Israel-Palestinian Cooperative for Economic Expansion.
Darcie is married to Ken Cohen, Vice-President for Global Government and Public Affairs at ExxonMobil. They are the parents of an American Seed, Devon, who also served as a Camp counselor.
“Seeds of Peace changed our daughter’s life, shaping her choice of schools, her course of study, her career plans. She made enduring friendships and developed a thoughtful, nuanced way of looking at people and politics. But we don’t support Seeds of Peace just because it bettered Devon’s life. My husband and I support Seeds of Peace because it betters all the Seeds it touches, and with every one of them, the door toward peace cracks a little wider open.”
