Carlson Wagonlit Travel
Carlson Wagonlit Travel is a longstanding corporate partner of Seeds of Peace. Since 2004, Carlson Wagonlit Travel has generously supported the Seeds of Peace Camp in Maine with an annual gift of $50,000.
This donation underwrites the cost of the iconic green t-shirts that our Seeds and staff wear day in and day out, all summer, every summer.
Seeds of Peace is proud to display Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s logo on the sleeves of the t-shirts in recognition of this significant gift. Wearing their identical green t-shirts, our Seeds are united not only in their apparel, but also in their common humanity and shared pursuit of peace.
Carlson Wagonlit Travel also plays an important role in bringing these delegations to Camp: with the round-the-clock support of employees Eric Norberg and Karen Klimpl, Seeds of Peace books over $700,000 per year in airfare alone through Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
Marilyn Carlson Nelson, chairman of the company, accepted the Corporate Peacemaker Award on behalf of Carlson at the 2011 Spring Dinner.
“CWT applauds the important work Seeds of Peace undertakes helping young people from the Middle East and South Asia. We’re proud to sponsor this terrific organization. Programs that help young people with conflict resolution and leadership training do indeed plant seeds of peace, creating a network of young leaders ready to support peace on a global scale.”
