Crossing international borders to conduct face-to-face programming is not always possible. However, Seeds of Peace is using the power of modern technology to overcome some of these physical obstacles.
In 2007, we launched SeedsBook, a social networking site modeled after the popular Facebook website. In this password-protected online setting accessible only to Seeds, they are able to communicate in chat rooms hosted by a moderator (typically a Seeds of Peace staff member). Users are able to upload photos and video messages, and staff are able to post notices, reports and updates for the Seeds.
Each Seed is also asked to create a profile, allowing Seeds of Peace to keep up-to-date on how to reach its alumni.
