AMMAN | “I know what you mean.”
“I felt the same, too.”
“They won’t get it the way we do.”
These are some of the responses when 17 Jordanian Seeds met on August 7 to discuss their shared experiences at Camp and beyond—building a sense of community that spans across generations.
The group heard from Leen, an older Jordanian Seed, who told them how Seeds of Peace inspired her to take the “road less traveled” and follow her dreams to become a successful lawyer.
Leen first talked about how Seeds of Peace shaped her life skills and influenced her professional growth. Later, she spoke about her work as a lawyer, including fielding questions about the challenges faced by women in the legal profession in Jordan. She also spent one-on-one time with Seeds, who got to know her on a personal level.
The gathering was part of Seeds of Peace’s efforts to engage new Seeds with older alumni who are now excelling as professionals.
