AMMAN | On August 26, 15 Jordanian Seeds attended a screening of Eye in the Sky, in partnership with the Royal Film Commission.
The film explores the concept of collateral damage and the difficult moral dilemma of weighing the value of a single life against the value of the masses.
The movie focuses on a British-Kenyan military operation to capture terrorists in Kenya, an operation that changes suddenly from capture to kill. As the attack is about to be executed, a nine-year-old girl enters the kill zone, which triggers a dispute over whether the mission should be aborted.
The screening was followed by a discussion on morality and ethical gray areas during which the Seeds asked tough questions of each other.
“The Seeds were able to lead the discussion questions raised by movie and lead their fellow Seeds through this difficult debate,” said Seeds of Peace Program Coordinator Farah Badour.
