March 4 event at Gotham Comedy Club to benefit Seeds of Peace
NEW YORK | New York’s top Jewish and Arab-American comedians will stand together for a non-violent, political solution in the Middle East, in a comedy show of support for Seeds of Peace, Tuesday, March 4, at 8:30 PM at the Gotham Comedy Club.
100% of the cover will benefit Seeds of Peace, an international organization that brings together Israeli and Palestinian teenagers, as well as children of other war-torn nations, in a summer camp in Maine.
Standup For Peace is produced by Jewish political comedian Scott Blakeman, who will host the show, and Arab-American comedian Dean Obeidallah, who will appear on the show with Greg Rogell, from The Tonight Show and his own Comedy Central half-hour special, Maysoon Zayid, Darcy Casteleiro, Nasry Malak and Omar Koury.
Blakeman has made over 30 national television appearances, and was the warmup comedian for the Late Show with David Letterman. Obeidallah has written material for Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update and the Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn.
This is the fourth Stand Up For Peace Seeds of Peace benefit.
