LAHORE | The participants of Interfaith Harmony Camp (IHC) observed that every religion taught respect for fellow human beings and freedom to practise one’s religion.
The three-day Interfaith Harmony Camp concluded on Monday at The Trust School and was organised by Seeds of Peace (SOP). Around 60 students of grades 8 to 11 from Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh religions participated to explore the similarities between teachings of all four religions.
The students belonged to different cities including Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Zafarwal, and Pasrooor participated in various educational and creative activities.
The camp was aimed at providing a platform to the students where they could learn about each other’s religion and explore the similarity in its teachings. Students spent three hours every day to know each other’s religion, finding similarities in teachings, and to learn about the basic ideology of each religion. The rest of three hours were spent in team games’ where they had to place in the same team for winning.
