MUMBAI | Thirty Seeds, Educators, friends, and staff took part in the 2016 Habitat for Humanity Youth Build on April 2 in Kashele Village in Karjat.
“The volunteers spent the day building and painting houses for families for whom owning a house was, until recently, a distant dream,” said Sagar Gangurde, Director of Seeds of Peace Programs in India.
“Habitat for Humanity was fabulous,” said Shanay, a 2015 Seed. “It was the first time I realized how much work goes into the creation of a house, and I now value the importance of one more than ever!”
Participation of Seeds of Peace in the Youth Build was made possible through a generous donation from Rotary Club International made possible by longtime Seeds of Peace supporter Chuck Oldanie.
