LONDON | The inaugural class of GATHER fellows met in the United Kingdom for a week of learning, inspiration and networking experience aimed at accelerating the impact of their work and projects.
During the October 9-14 retreat, the Fellows met at Impact Hub Westminster and other locations around the city. Throughout the week, the Fellows benefited from a series of trainings and workshops, in addition to networking with local business and industry leaders.
Other connections with over 40 UK-based social change organizations were facilitated at an event organized by the U.S. Embassy in London during which Fellows and their peers engaged in issues relevant to their expertise and work over themed round-table discussions.
In addition, networking spaces were created where Fellows showcased and pitched their work to various audiences. Finally, a dedicated time was allotted to allow Fellows present their work to each other and to receive feedback from one another at the end of the retreat.
The GATHER Fellowship is part of a larger initiative that Seeds of Peace launched early 2015 to support innovative and unique approaches to advancing social change. The GATHER Fellowship is a year-long targeted investment in changemakers whose projects have the potential to transform conflict.
