CAIRO | Over 50 members of the Seeds of Peace community in Egypt met in Cairo on October 15 to reunite and discuss the future of Seeds of Peace programs in Egypt.
The 2016 Community Gathering and Dinner at the Greek Rowing Club brought together Seeds from different years, sessions, and programs, alongside Egyptian Educators and Camp staff.
“Looking at the sign-in sheet, there were Seeds from 1996-2016, as well as Delegation Leaders, Counselors, and former staff,” said Mostafa Ismail, Seeds of Peace’s Middle East Coordinator in Egypt and a 2006 Seed.
The evening kicked off with an icebreaker session and was followed with a group discussion about Seeds of Peace programming in Egypt, with a focus on ways to create impact through youth empowerment.
The group also discussed planned and potential programming in 2017, including building a mentorship program and starting action projects.
