IMPACT: SOCIAL
How has Seeds of Peace had an impact on you?
Among other lessons, my summers at Camp taught me about relationships and storytelling. It is only through the forging of strong relationships and a genuine interest and appreciation for the stories of others that we can hope to bring peace to the world. Both insights are key to cultivating empathy, the foundation of my personal and professional life.
How have you impacted your community?
Both in my current day job at Eagle Hill Consulting, resolving conflict for the Transportation Security Administration, as well as after hours at Offender Aid and Restoration, I regularly use the lessons learned at Camp to treat people as more than the worst thing they’ve ever done. I pursued a Master’s Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University to match the practice I first learned at Seeds of Peace with prevailing theory in the field.
