NEW YORK | Nineteen Seeds took part in an informal discussion with Frank G. Wisner, the former United States ambassador to Egypt, India, Zambia, and the Philippines, on October 23 in New York City.
The inaugural Leaders² Speaker Series event allowed the Seeds to get an insider perspective from a long-serving American diplomat. The Ambassador gave a brief description of his historical take on the Middle East and South Asia before delving into a rich analysis of contemporary problems America faces in these areas, particularly in the Middle East.
Ambassador Wisner laid out the predicaments he foresees for President Donald Trump. After sharing his perspective, the Seeds in the room were able to engage him with questions that focused on U.S. policy, human rights, the refugee crisis, immigration, and international conflict.
