Seeds of Peace supports Educator Programs alumni to reach out to youth, parents, and fellow citizens to enlarge our circles of concern and commitment.
COMMUNITY CENTERS
Seeds of Peace partners with community centers in the various countries where we work to offer activities for young children, youth, women, educators, and parents. Responding to needs on the ground, we pay particular attention to marginalized communities in Gaza and the West Bank. For example, see the Shijaeya Community Project.
BUDS OF PEACE SOLIDARITY CAMPS
Across our network—from South Asia to the Middle East—Educators and Seeds work together to design and lead local outreach camps for young children that embody the values of Seeds of Peace.
WINDOWS COURSES
These programs provide members of our Seeds of Peace community with a window into the different cultures and traditions of their neighbors. We offer semester-long language classes, as well as shorter courses devoted to cross-cultural exchange and to learning about each other’s lived experiences, news sources, literature, film, arts, religion, and more.
NEW HORIZONS DAY TRIPS
These one day trips are open to both alumni of Seeds of Peace programs as well as newcomers interested in getting a taste of what our organization is all about. The objective of these trips is to explore and actively learn about people, communities, and perspectives outside of one’s usual experience. Such trips spark dialogue, questions, and connections that often lead to further exploration.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH FORUMS
As much as possible, Seeds of Peace reaches out to the public through afternoon and evening events that include featured speakers and open discussions about specific topics of pressing social concern.
PARENT AND EDUCATOR DIALOGUE PROGRAM
Seeds of Peace organizes dialogue opportunities for the parents of Seeds, along with graduates of Seeds of Peace Educator programs, to build trust and have difficult, critical conversations.
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVES
Members of the Seeds of Peace community in every country where we work organize projects to serve their societies. For example, Israeli and Palestinian members of the Women of Action offer Cross-Border Youth Art Forums for children, as well as outreach workshops for interested women.
