AMMAN | On February 27, 10 Jordanian Seeds took part in a community service project in Madaba overseen by the SERMIG Arsenale Dell’incontro organization for the disabled.
The Seeds helped the Italian charity’s staff in their effort to develop self-service, sensory, motor, and socialization skills for students with disabilities.
The Seeds were welcomed by Chiara, the director of SERMIG in Madaba, who spoke about her group’s work and shared what lessons she had learned in her time working with the disabled.
They then attended classes with students who suffer from mild to moderate disabilities—including learning difficulties and communication and emotional and behavioral disorders—and helped run activities for them.
At the end of the day, the Seeds held a reflection circle on Mount Nebo.
