JERUSALEM | Sixty-six Israeli Jewish, Muslim, and Christian Seeds celebrated the Holiday of Holidays festival in Haifa on December 16. Participation in the festival is an annual Seeds of Peace tradition.
The festival, which is attended by thousands of Haifa residents, celebrates the coinciding of Jewish (Hanukkah), Christian (Christmas), and sometimes Muslim holidays at this time of year.
Seeds of Peace again partnered with the Bet Hagefen Cultural Center, which helps organize the festival. The Seeds ran a kids activity for visitors and shared the mission of Seeds of Peace with them.
“Seeds from various years got to connect with each other as well as to interact with families and visitors attending the event and to tell them about the work we do,” said Seeds of Peace’s Maayan Poleg, who helped organize the event.
“I love seeing little kids react to who we are and what we do,” said one Seed. “Holiday of Holidays is that one event I look forward to every year!”
