TEL AVIV | Thirty-six Israeli and Palestinian Seeds participated in a four-day seminar led by staff and students from the Boston-based Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program (HNMCP).
For the last four years, HNMCP has provided Seeds with intensive educational trainings on the skills and theories of effective mediation and negotiation.
The Bridging the Gap: How to Negotiate in Conflict was held in Jaffa from January 15-18 and provided Seeds with technical and communication skills to better manage conflict in their lives. It was made possible by USAID.
Harvard Law School Professor and HNMCP Director Bob Bordone and two of his graduate students helped the Seeds explore the intricacies of effective communication in order to challenge how they engage with each other and the difficult situations they encounter on a daily basis.
Throughout the seminar, the trainers used various simulations and exercises to demonstrate the key concepts of negotiation and mediation.
